Fire Alarm Installers. A few links to directories of fire alarm installers with simple advice on companies which install fire alarm systems

Buying a professional fire alarm system is a delicate undertaking, with so many possible options in terms of installers, systems etc it can be hard to know what you are actually getting. Here there is advice and links to a few sites that may help.

The simplest way to get a new fire alarm system is to find a local supplier. They should be able to provide and install a system to meet your requirements. It is generally important to have most systems professionally installed and maintained, although it is possible to simply order a system online and do it yourself. Some systems, especially basic funcionality like smoke alarms, are designed to be easily installed by the user and therefore don't need professional assistance. There are a number of wireless home fire alarm systems which would be easy to fit without help.

However, anything more complicated should be installed and maintained by qualified engineers. There are a few important questions it is worth asking of the fire alarm company you investigate:

-Request proof that the fire alarm company has all applicable licences
-Request a written quotation to ensure you pay only the agreed amount
-Will I own the fire alarm system or be leasing it?
-Inquire about protection for pre-paid monitoring
-Will you provide me with a contract once the system is purchased?
-Request a written warranty on the equipment
-Will the system be monitored, and if so, what is the cost and who provides the service?
-How long has the company been trading?

Why? Because they blocked this site without proper reason and after about one year of negotiation still have not given a proper reason nor proper instructions of how to fix any problems
